Breede Valley Municipality is a local government body based in Worcester, Western Cape. We are looking for four dedicated individuals to join our team as Small Plant Operators on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose
The successful candidates will perform manual labor and operate small machinery to maintain roads and stormwater systems. The goal is to ensure high-quality service delivery and infrastructure upkeep for the municipality.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist supervisors with installing concrete products like kerbs and pavers.
- Prepare potholes for filling and compact materials such as asphalt using handheld tools.
- Operate and drive small machinery used for road construction and maintenance.
- Clean worksites by removing debris, rubble, and grass cuttings from roads and drainage areas.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and stored correctly.
- Report any machinery maintenance or service needs to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety regulations and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 (Junior Certificate).
- At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
- A valid certificate of competency in operating small plant machinery and equipment.
- Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
