About the Role

The Langeberg Municipality is responsible for managing local government affairs, administration, and planning within the community. We are looking for a professional Senior Building Inspector to join our team and help supervise building standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Building Inspector, your primary duties will include:

• Handling administrative tasks related to building inspections.
• Performing law enforcement duties to ensure compliance with building regulations.
• Examining and reviewing building plans.
• Providing professional customer service to the community.
• Monitoring and controlling building activities within the municipality.
• Ensuring all work meets Occupational Health and Safety standards.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A relevant National Diploma as required by the National Building Regulations.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in the building industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Eligibility to be registered as a Peace Officer (Law Enforcement Officer).
• A valid Code B driving license.
