Candidate Requirements

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A BA degree in Social Work.
• Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Proficiency in computer use.
• A valid driver’s license.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide essential social services to support the rehabilitation of offenders. Key duties include:

• Direct Support: Delivering social work services through individual counseling, group sessions, and community-based programs.
• Assessment: Conducting individual assessments and research to determine the needs of offenders.
• Service Promotion: Marketing social work services within the department and monitoring the effectiveness of intervention programs.
• Administration: Managing social work documentation, human resources, finances, and departmental assets.
• Performance Management: Monitoring and reporting on performance data to ensure high standards of service delivery.
