Role Purpose
As a Specialist in SAP Basis, you will provide technical support and advice for our SAP systems. Your role involves continuous improvement, development, and upgrading of various SAP delivery channels, including SAP FI/CO, Logistics, Portal, SRM, BI, BO, SOLMAN, CRM, and others. You will also provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members to help grow their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior staff to meet organizational goals.
- Troubleshooting: Act as an expert for complex technical problems that junior teams cannot resolve.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance, manage capacity, and handle upgrades, patching, and technology updates.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Install and maintain SAP infrastructure, including database upgrades and landscape administration.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure all SAP environments remain secure, operational, and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Project Management: Manage SAP support projects, coordinate resources, and ensure high-quality delivery of technical tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with SAP developers and other IT teams to design and modify architecture as business needs change.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- A 3-year National Diploma in an ICT-related field plus at least 5 years of experience in SAP Basis (including at least 1 year in a specialist or supervisory role).
- OR
- At least 6 years of experience in an ICT SAP Basis environment (including at least 2 years in a specialist or supervisory role).
