Job Purpose
In this role, you will provide expert technical advice and support for SAP modules. You will analyze complex requirements, configure systems, and implement solutions to improve service delivery. You will use your consulting skills and SAP knowledge to integrate technology effectively into the business environment.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Option 1: A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in IT, Computer Science, Finance, or Software Engineering, plus 5–7 years of experience in a financial or accounting environment (with at least 2–3 years at a technical level).
- Option 2: A Senior Certificate (Matric/NQF 4) with 10 years of related experience (with at least 2–3 years at a technical level).
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Strong technical skills in maintaining IT and SAP FICA solutions.
- Ability to monitor system solutions, identify defects, and manage testing and fixes.
- Experience analyzing sub-ledger accounts and identifying discrepancies between systems and legislative requirements.
- Hands-on experience in SAP module analysis, design, and configuration.
- Knowledge of integration points between various SAP modules.
- Familiarity with SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and troubleshooting authorization issues.
- SAP FICA certification or significant experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Development and Analysis
- Collaborate with management to define business requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
- Analyze and troubleshoot software, including technical reviews of source code.
- Oversee quality initiatives, including code reviews, bottleneck analysis, and root cause identification.
- Ensure all new or modified applications are properly tested and documented.
- Manage the transition between applications to minimize risk and optimize performance.
Process and Strategy
- Advise the business on design standards, tools, and technical suitability of software packages.
- Implement and maintain organizational standards for systems development.
- Identify trends and potential risks through data collection and analysis.
- Initiate process improvements to deliver on operational objectives.
Governance and Collaboration
- Ensure all work complies with governance, integrity, and ethics processes.
- Build productive relationships with team members and internal stakeholders.
- Provide specialist advice to ensure cost-effective operations and service excellence.
