You will develop technical, personal and professional skills that will help you turn data into actionable insights for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Client: Integrate model outputs into production systems, ensuring they meet business requirements.
- Data: Gather, clean, transform and visualise data. Build and test statistical and machine‑learning models. Communicate findings to stakeholders.
- People: Collaborate with the Data Science Guild and subject‑matter experts to translate business needs into data solutions.
- Product: Develop modelling solutions that forecast outcomes and support reporting and automation initiatives.
- Technology & Architecture: Build machine‑learning models using Python or R, and work with distributed platforms such as Hadoop, Spark and Kafka.
Qualifications
Completed or currently enrolled in an Honours or Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Data Science / Analytics
- Statistics
- Computer Science
- Applied Mathematics
- Quantitative Risk Management
- Engineering (Computer, Industrial, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic, Mechanical, Chemical)
Honours (or equivalent 4‑year degree) must be completed by 31 December 2026.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen
- Work experience not exceeding 24 months
- Minimum 70% average in the 3rd year of undergraduate studies
- Minimum 65% average in Honours or Master’s studies
- Matric certificate and full academic transcripts required with application
