Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Store Assistant Manager for our Chanel Boutique at Canal Walk. In this role, you will support the Boutique Manager in leading the team, driving sales, and ensuring every client receives a world-class luxury experience.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Work with the Boutique Manager to create a positive, professional, and inclusive work environment.
• Help manage staff relations and provide regular feedback on performance.
• Communicate clearly with the team to ensure everyone is informed and empowered.
• Train staff on standard operating procedures and brand values.

Business & Sales Growth

• Drive sales and customer loyalty to meet retail targets.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and recruit new clients.
• Oversee staff schedules and floor coverage to ensure excellent service at all times.
• Manage loss prevention, including store security and inventory control.

The Client Experience

• Lead by example on the sales floor by building long-term relationships with clients.
• Ensure the team provides a personalized and memorable shopping experience.
• Handle customer complaints professionally to ensure total satisfaction.
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards so the boutique always looks welcoming.

Operational Excellence

• Manage daily operations, including opening and closing the boutique.
• Oversee stock levels, inventory audits, and new product orders.
• Ensure all staff follow correct cash handling and till procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.

Brand Ambassadorship

• Act as an expert on Chanel’s heritage and products.
• Follow all grooming and uniform guidelines to represent the brand perfectly.
• Stay curious and proactive about learning new beauty trends and product information.

Reporting & Administration

• Analyze sales performance and stock reports.
• Provide feedback on competitor activities and market trends.
• Submit monthly reports regarding events, new launches, and consultant performance.

Requirements

• Education: Matric Certificate.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in retail and cosmetics.
• Skills: A certificate in Beauty or Make-up is a strong advantage.
• Traits: Professional, leadership-oriented, and passionate about the luxury industry.
