About the Position
Nyandeni Local Municipality is looking for a qualified Superintendent of Security Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment within the municipality, protecting municipal assets, and managing security staff and visitors.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- National Diploma in Safety and Security Management or a related field.
- Security Training Certificate (Grade A or B).
- Valid Firearms License.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Valid Code B Driver’s License.
- Computer literacy.
- No criminal record.
Added Advantages:
- Previous Police or Military training.
- VIP Protection Course certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Promoting safety and preventing crime within the municipality’s jurisdiction.
- Protecting municipal properties, staff, and visitors.
- Preparing and managing the security services budget and monitoring financial performance.
- Working closely with the SAPS, Provincial Traffic departments, community forums, and business associations to improve security.
- Developing and presenting operational plans to improve security and VIP protection services.
