Position Overview

We are seeking two qualified Superintendents to join our technical team. Reporting to the Engineering Technician, the successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing water service provision and ensuring that local communities receive reliable water services according to established policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• NTC 04 Water and Waste-Water Treatment Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Trade Tested Artisan (Plumbing).
• Certificate in Computer Literacy.
• Valid EB Driver’s License.
• At least 3 years of experience working within a Local Government environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations Management: Oversee and direct water service provision (WSP) tasks within the local municipality to ensure consistent delivery to consumers.
• Strategic Planning: Provide direct input into the sub-section’s strategic plans, policies, and operational controls.
• Financial Oversight: Manage financial inputs and asset management related to water services.
• Staff Supervision: Monitor and control the performance and outcomes of personnel within the sub-section.
• Stakeholder Communication: Manage communication processes and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Administration & Reporting: Handle all administrative duties, reporting requirements, and oversee audit processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
