Job Overview
The eThekwini Municipality is looking for a qualified Supervisor Driver to join our team. This role focuses on operating water tankers, delivering water, and transporting essential equipment and materials to various project sites. You will also be responsible for supporting on-site operations such as back-filling and waste (spoil) removal.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate water tankers to ensure efficient water delivery.
- Transport small plant machinery and materials safely to and from various locations.
- Supervise and assist with on-site activities, including back-filling and the removal of waste materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and site activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant driving and operational experience.
- Licensing: A valid Code EC motor vehicle driving license and a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Skills: A valid certificate of competency in operating truck-mounted cranes. (Applicants without this certificate must be willing to obtain it within six months of appointment).
