System Analyst (Business Intelligence)

Role Purpose
We are looking for a skilled System Analyst to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team. In this role, you will turn complex data into clear insights that help our business units make informed decisions. You will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into our core platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and validate BI data models that solve business problems.
  • Configure and develop SAP BW systems across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
  • Improve existing BI systems and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI and SAP Webi.
  • Write SQL code and create functional and technical design documents.
  • Develop user manuals and provide training to ensure staff can use BI tools effectively.
  • Mentor junior developers and stay updated on the latest BI technologies and trends.
  • Ensure all work follows data governance, change control, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: A National Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP BW.
    • At least 3 years of experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power BI.
    • (Alternatively, 6 years of experience in SAP BW and 3 years in Power BI).
  • Certifications: SAP Certification is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong SQL coding skills and experience with data warehousing, data integration, and analytics.
  • Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills, research abilities, and the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
