Job Title: Systems Analyst (GCOS)

Position Purpose
As a Systems Analyst, you will design and develop IT solutions that meet our business needs. You will be responsible for creating, testing, and documenting software programs. A major part of this role involves maintaining and improving our Terminal Operating System (TOS) to support our commercial, sales, and marketing teams. You will work with various stakeholders to plan, design, and implement technical solutions and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Define system requirements and create design specifications.
- Perform data modeling and technical design according to industry standards.
- Review software code and conduct thorough functional testing.
- Participate in the full life cycle of TOS projects, including planning and implementation.
- Estimate costs and assist with budget requirements.
- Manage and lead staff while maintaining updated technical documentation.
- Track time and tasks for project management and financial reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A National Diploma or relevant qualification (NQF 6/7).
- Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience, with a focus on Oracle and APEX development.
- Leadership: Minimum of 2 years in a managerial or specialist role.
- Preferred: Completion of the Transnet Leadership Development Programme is an advantage.
