Role Description
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of electrical systems across our facilities. Your goal is to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Identify and repair faults in electrical panels, generators, lighting, and control systems.
- Install and maintain wiring, circuits, and other electrical components.
- Execute preventative maintenance plans to avoid equipment failure.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and electrical breakdowns.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Keep detailed records of all repairs and service history.
- Support electrical upgrade projects and new installations.
- Work alongside other maintenance teams and contractors when necessary.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Trade Test Certificate as an Electrician (Red Seal is preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills and technical knowledge of electrical systems.
- A valid driver’s license.
