Technologist C&I – Majuba Power Station
Eskom is South Africa’s primary electricity provider, generating approximately 95% of the electricity used in South Africa and 45% of the electricity used across the African continent. We generate, transmit, and distribute power to industrial, mining, commercial, agricultural, and residential customers. We are currently looking for a Technologist to join our team at the Majuba Power Station in Mpumalanga.
Role Overview
As a Technologist in Control and Instrumentation (C&I), you will be responsible for technical planning and ensuring the reliability of our power generation assets. This role involves engineering design, technical studies, and providing expert advice on discipline-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute engineering design and planning tasks.
- Maintain and improve the integrity of power station assets.
- Perform technical studies and deliver standardized reports.
- Consult on specialized technical and discipline-specific issues.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 and a BEng Tech, BTech, Advanced Diploma, or Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NQF level 7 with 360 credits).
- Experience: At least 2 years of technical experience in a power generation environment.
- Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Candidate Technologist.
