Job Description
The City of Cape Town offers a range of student opportunities that combine academic learning with practical workplace experience. These programmes are designed to give students hands‑on experience and help them meet the requirements for formal qualifications.
Programmes Available
- Work Integrated Learning (WIL) – Fixed Term Contract. Requires a National Certificate – N6 (WIL/In‑service Training). Applicants must provide a letter from their institution requesting WIL and a transcript of academic results.
- Graduate Internship Programme (GIP) – Fixed Term Contract. Open to students who have completed a 3‑year Diploma, National Diploma, Advanced Diploma, B‑Tech, Degree, Honours, Masters or PhD from a registered university or university of technology.
Eligibility
Applicants must be suitably qualified. The following levels are accepted:
- Grade 10/11/ National Senior Certificate (Grade 12/Matric)
- N1 – N5 / Level 2 – 4
- National Diploma / Diploma
