About the role
The Transport Admin Clerk will handle all administrative tasks related to the transport fleet. The role involves capturing transport data for KPI reports, supporting the transport manager, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Main Objectives
- Complete all transport administration tasks.
- Capture transport data for KPI reports.
- Assist on site in the absence of the transport manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, service, and manage fleet operations.
- Submit insurance and accident claims within required timeframes.
- Control fines and traffic violations.
- Track vehicle fuel consumption and daily kilometres.
- Order and generate order numbers through Bank and VC.
- Ensure monthly kilometres stay within contractual limits and perform cost allocations.
- Maintain and monitor the DRM/Vigil information system.
- Control ordering of parts and manage on‑hand stock.
- Prepare monthly and weekly reports and conduct stock counts.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (matric) certificate or equivalent.
- Computer literate.
Experience
- 2–3 years of transport administration experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
- Technical background is an advantage.
- Code 10 with PDP.
Key Skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Strong listening skills.
- Numerical ability and proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Deadline driven and results oriented.
