The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is responsible for managing early childhood, primary, and secondary education in the province. Our main goals are to improve literacy and mathematics skills, raise matric results, and ensure children in all communities have access to quality education.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A Senior or Matric certificate.
• At least 6 years of experience in clerical or administrative work.
• A valid driver’s license.

Required Knowledge

Successful candidates should have a strong understanding of:

• The Public Service Act and Regulations.
• PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
• Department of Transport policies (GG Transport).
• WCED acts, policies, and official procedures.

Skills and Competencies

• Financial Management: Ability to handle financial tasks and interpret official regulations.
• Organization: Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Communication: Excellent report writing and the ability to communicate effectively in two official languages.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with others and maintain professional relationships.
