Position Overview

We are looking for a Cross Border Driver to join our team in Johannesburg. The role involves transporting cargo across borders, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribute and collect client cargo.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo from the vehicle.
  • Complete daily collection and delivery sheets as required.
  • Perform daily pre‑trip vehicle inspections.
  • Report vehicle faults promptly.
  • Handle cargo with care during loading and unloading.
  • Verify delivery and collection addresses.
  • Maintain communication with the depot.
  • Ensure no unauthorized deviations from delivery/collection sheets.
  • Liaise with customs officials and present cargo for inspection.
  • Maintain and secure all relevant documents.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) minimum.
  • 1–2 years of driving experience.
  • Valid unendorsed Code 10 driver’s licence.
  • Valid PDP.
  • Good knowledge of the Johannesburg area.
  • Valid passport.
  • Own transport to and from work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and overtime when required.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Capability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Reliable and punctual; linehaul departures must be on time.
  • High integrity and professional appearance at all times.
  • Ability to work overtime as required due to clients’ needs.
