About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Food Services Assistant to support our kitchen and canteen operations. The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer service while working in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations on cleanliness and hygiene in all tasks.
• Maintain quality standards for customer service, operating processes, health and safety, and food safety.
• Assist in preparing meals, especially salads and desserts.
• Place entrees, salads, desserts, and other food items on the serving line.
• Keep the serving line well‑stocked, clean, and organized.
• Support training of new employees when required.
• Store and record food leftovers accurately.
• Keep canteen tables, kitchen, and other areas clean and orderly.
• Meet customer expectations within the scope of the contract.
• Provide a high level of customer service in your area of responsibility.
• Count and sign over stock in the designated area to the next shift staff.
• Carry out reasonable requests from management.
• Report and, where possible, resolve customer and client complaints or compliments.
• Attend meetings and training courses as required.
• Perform related work as assigned and assist with duties outside the scope of responsibility when needed.
• Work night shifts as required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
• A culinary qualification is advantageous.
