About the Job
We are looking for a friendly and professional waiter to join our team. The role involves serving guests, managing the dining area, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Recommend meals and drinks to guests for special events or parties.
- Ensure plates, cutlery, and glassware are clean, polished, and in good condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, floors, walls, tables, and serving stations.
- Assist clients with special needs following company guidelines.
- Welcome guests warmly and guide them to their seats.
- Organise menus based on the establishment’s style, client feedback, cost, and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure all waiters provide excellent customer service in line with company policy.
- Process payments via cash, credit, or debit cards.
- Keep menu prices accurate and up-to-date.
- Handle billing procedures correctly after service.
- Set tables correctly, including cutlery and glassware.
- Build lasting relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collect and evaluate customer feedback to improve service quality.

- Endurance to walk and stand for long periods.
- Flexible work hours.
- Ability to stay calm and professional with difficult customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Coordination to carry plates or trays without dropping items.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- Good personal hygiene.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education.
- 5–6 years of experience in a similar role.
- Culinary qualification is an advantage.
