About the Job

We are looking for a friendly and professional waiter to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Recommend meals and drinks for special events or parties in a courteous manner.
• Ensure plates, cutlery, and glassware are clean, polished, and in good condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including floors, walls, tables, and serving stations.
• Assist guests with special needs following company guidelines and standards.
• Welcome guests warmly and guide them to their seating area.
• Organise menus considering the establishment’s style, client feedback, cost, and seasonal ingredients.
• Ensure all wait staff deliver excellent customer service in line with company policy.
• Process payments using cash, credit cards, or debit cards.
• Keep menu prices accurate and up-to-date.
• Handle billing procedures correctly after service.
• Set tables correctly, including proper placement of cutlery and glassware.
• Build lasting relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collect and evaluate customer feedback to improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 5–6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Culinary qualification is advantageous.
