Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Cold-Room Forklift Driver to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to safely operate a forklift within a refrigerated warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and be comfortable working in cold temperatures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to move and organize goods within the cold-room warehouse.
- Safely load and unload materials from delivery trucks.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working order.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep the cold-room and warehouse areas clean and organized.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as required.
Job Requirements
- Education: Matric (High School Diploma) or equivalent.
- Certification: A valid forklift operator’s license.
- Experience: Previous experience driving a forklift in a warehouse setting.
- Environment: Ability to work comfortably in cold-room temperatures for extended periods.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team-player attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects manually.
- Capability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift.
- Willingness to work in a refrigerated environment.
