Role Purpose

The Wellness Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by providing knowledgeable advice on healthcare, nutrition, and supplements. The goal is to help customers make informed choices while driving sales and building long-term loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice to customers regarding healthcare, nutritional, and supplement products.
  • Proactively assist customers in-store to meet their health and wellness needs.
  • Achieve sales targets by promoting a wide range of brands through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Maintain stock availability by following proper stock management and rotation procedures.
  • Prevent stock loss and wastage by adhering to risk management policies.
  • Ensure the store environment is clean, hygienic, and appealing to shoppers.
  • Assist with product merchandising according to company guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training to keep product knowledge up to date.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
  • A qualification in sports, fitness, or nutrition is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of related retail experience.
  • Proven experience working with sports nutrition and vitamin-related products.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and customer service.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of health, fitness, and supplement products.
  • Understanding of retail operations, including merchandising and stock management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence customers.
  • Basic computer literacy.
