Purpose of the Role
The Mining Logistics Administrator coordinates daily administrative and logistics activities to keep the mining team running smoothly. The role delivers high‑quality administrative, stock, and logistics support while maintaining safety, efficiency, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to optimise office workflows.
- Maintain accurate hard‑copy and electronic filing systems.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and calendars.
- Prepare agendas, attend meetings, record minutes, and distribute documentation.
- Draft correspondence, memorandums, reports, charts, and presentations.
- Treat confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
- Maintain databases, organograms, distribution lists, and records.
- Log and follow up on IT and operational requests.
- Ensure office facilities are maintained and report deviations.
Logistics & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Process stock receiving, issuing, documentation, and ERP updates (SAP/JDE or similar).
- Deliver stock and materials to various mine sites.
- Keep storage areas clean, organised, and safety compliant.
- Compile daily and weekly logistics, stock, and consumption reports.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and raise supply‑risk alerts early.
- Provide continuous feedback to internal customers on order status and lead times.
Transport & Vehicle Coordination
- Drive safely and in compliance with site and road regulations.
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate annual servicing of company vehicles, including bookings and record‑keeping.
Service & Compliance
- Deliver efficient, high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to all safety standards, legal requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Manage work planning and delivery according to timelines.
- Apply a collaborative, customer‑focused approach to meet business needs.

Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 / High School Diploma or equivalent.
License
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence (advantageous).
Experience
- Experience in mining, warehouse, or logistics operations (advantageous).
