Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Research and Development Directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the provincial research agenda, managing innovation strategies, and overseeing the Limpopo Research Ethics Committee.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the review and implementation of the Provincial Research & Development Framework.
- Lead the development and execution of the Provincial Research & Innovation Agenda.
- Coordinate and manage the Limpopo Research Ethics Committee (LPREC).
- Facilitate the Limpopo Research Forum and manage the Policy Research Repository.
- Provide strategic leadership and administrative management for the Directorate.
Requirements
- Education: An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Public Management, Public Administration, or a related field as recognized by SAQA.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience at a Middle or Senior Management level.
- Certification: Must possess an SMS Pre-Entry (Nyukela) Certificate upon appointment.
- License: A valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Public Service regulations, the National Research Foundation Act, and provincial innovation policies.
